I have eight 10-gallon glass tanks I need to get rid of. Moved all my animals into bigger tanks a while back, so the 10-gals have just been taking up space. None of them are water-tight, but they'd be good for rodents or reptiles.

Of the eight, seven are intact without lids. One is intact with a sliding mesh lid.

I have a large purple plastic igloo, suitable for rats, guinea pigs, small rabbits, or large reptiles.

I also have an unopened 20-lb bag of Harlan Teklad brand "Diamond Soft" bedding (http://www.teklad.com/bedding/diamond.asp). I bought a bunch to try it out, but I personally don't like it, so I'm not going to use the leftover bag.

All of it is free, though a small donation would be nice.

I have had 'Fuzzy' for three years. I adopted him from a part-time breeder who didn't want him anymore because he was getting too big. He is captive bred and so were his 'parents'. I usually call Fuzzy a him, but do not know if it is a he or she. His markings are spots shaped like elbow macaroni that run down his spine. He is a very easy snake to take care of, eats well, sheds perfectly every time, but does not like to be handled.

When I got him (1 year old) he had never been handled, and I worked very hard for a year to get him used to handling, but he never really enjoyed it and was always a bit skittish with others. Therefore, I have pretty much left him alone with the exception of cleaning his cage and feeding for the last two years. I am sure with some attention that he would warm up to one or two people, but he will never be good with people he isn�t familiar with. He is very active and loves to come out of hiding to watch TV and to look at the cat.

Needs a stable home with people willing to either work with him often to be able to be handled or with people just wanting a snake to watch and be around. Definitely not for a home with children.

Asking $140 re-homing fee (negotiable to the right home). I also have a tall (42" high) stand which can go with him if you want it. I am moving overseas for Graduate school (quite unexpected) and cannot bring him with. I would prefer someone with snake experience and need someone committed to providing the best environment for his needs.

Hi Gainesville,

I am hoping that through this post, I can find someone who would be willing to foster my dog from Aug 30 through Dec 15. I know this is a huge favor to ask, but I am relatively new to town and haven't yet developed that large social network of friends to fall back on, so instead, I must now put my faith in the powers of the universe that some lovely soul out there would by some random chance enjoy befriending a great dog for the next few months.

My dog is Jeda. She is a 7 year old pure bred doberman and a super sweet fun loving dog. She knows her commands, tricks, totally housebroken, no chewing, and mostly just loves being loved and doing fun stuff like car rides, going for runs, wrestling on the floor, playing fetch, and to my pleasant surprise I just found out she totally loves going kayaking too!

As you can see, she's my best bud, we do a whole bunch of stuff together and if I dont find a temporary home for her, I will have to give her away forever. I really cant imagine life without her.

We have an AKC Registered Chinese Shar Pei that we are trying to rehome. We breed Shar Peis and recently purchased him with a group of breeding age adults-- he is very skittish and has not come around to us. We would like to place him in a home where someone is willing to work with him to make him trust people again--because he obviously had a traumatic past before he came to us. Because we have so many other dogs, we don't have the time to put in with him. He does NOT bite, he is non agreesive--he just scares extremely easily and will bark nonstop if he sees you coming near in an attempt to keep you away. I have a beautiful white and beige Siamese Flame Point that needs a new home. His name is Butterscotch. I am relocating to NYC and he does not get along with my inside cat at all. Butterscotch is very passive and my inside cat is very aggressive toward him. He has been outside for the past several months because of this, but was inside happily for over a year. He is on Advantage and Program (which keeps the fleas from repopulating) and has been fully vaccinated for distemper, rabies, feline leukemia, and all feline STDs. I wanted to be sure he would not catch anything when being outide. He has also been microchipped and neutered.

He is just over 2 years old and perfectly healthy. When he was inside, I trimmed his nails regularly with little problem. He loves to play with his owner and other cats and will sleep with you every night. He will do fine either inside or outside, but after nearly being killed by a car last month I would prefer that he is an inside cat if you live anywhere close to a highway. He loves his tummy rubbed and will warm up to you within 10 minutes. He is a total lap cat. He is a super sweet cat that I want to be spoiled in his new home, and to be sure he goes to a good home, I am asking a $50 adoption fee. Tut is a great people friendly dog. He loves to follow you around and wants to please. He weighs 60 pounds. He may look intimidating but he's not. He loves to be petted. We can't keep him simply because we have too many dogs and he doesn't like our cats. He thinks he is a herd dog trying to round up our goats. He's free to run our several acres and will need to continue to run in a large area. He doesn't harm our chickens or ducks. He was recently neutered. Not sure on house training yet since we haven't been able to let him in due to the cats. His rehoming fee is $60 only to cover his neutering. Serious inquiries only. My husband and I need to find a new home for our beautiful lop-eared adult male rabbit. He is litter trained and once he is used to new surroundings is nearly 100% miss free. He has been to the vet recently and is healthy and has been fixed. He is beautiful, loving and very gentle--he would love to be the only pet in the house because he gets a little jealous and territorial. Luckily, he's a great only companion and would be excellent company for an attentive caring adult.

We adopted him to keep our other bunny company, but after months of attempted bonding, the two are fighting and being very territorial, so we think it would be safer for them if we separated the two of them permanently. Our hearts are broken because he is such an amazing little guy.

We want to find the perfect caretaker for him: someone who knows a little about rabbits and is willing to learn more ( I will correspond with you via email with any questions), someone who accepts the nature of bunnies (they aren't big cuddlers, but would rather be near you than ON you), someone who will keep him indoors and safe from predators, someone who preferably does not have other pets or very small children, and most of all--someone who will love and appreciate his great personality being part of their home.

I have a ton of bunny stuff that he could take with him and I'd be happy to build a pen for him in your home at my cost (he's in a custom built pen now) if you need him penned, or to provide a nice big litter box and collar for him if he'll be free-roaming in your house. I'll even supply a good amount of food and information upon request.

I haven't included a photo or name because I want serious inquiries only---it's too easy for someone to see a cute bunny and decide they want one but not realize that they are responsible for a living beings happiness and quality of life.

Clementine is a 2 year old, medium sized Greyhound mix that we got
from Animal Control as a puppy. Clementine is the sweetest most
loving dog when given the attention that she needs and deserves. Her
favorite things to do are curl up inside a card board box and
sleep, snuggle in a lap and running. When she is deprived of attention
she can get hyper and that is where our problems are. We just aren't
able to give her what she needs with a 15 month old toddler and another
on the way. Clementine is very eager to please and easily trainable.
She is crate and house trained. She loves sleeping in her crate at
night and takes a "nap time" during the day as well. A yard for her to run in is a must.
