I currently live in Looking Glass Apartments, located directly across the street from the University of Florida's campus, and I am going to be moving out of Gainesville by the end of the semester. I live in the Master suite and have enjoyed walking to class, as it takes me literally 30 seconds to walk to campus. Even though I have a scooter, it takes less time to walk, so that should tell you something! My roommate is also absolutely fantastic! I have lived with a few people while in college, and she is the most easy-going, laid back person. I only hope I can find somebody to live with that is half as awesome as she is.
I am currently living in floor plan D of Looking Glass, in the room with the bathroom in it. Both bathrooms and the kitchen have tiling, and its on the top floor, so there are no noisy neighbors living upstairs. Also, the apartment is not furnished, so you need to supply your own bedroom furniture.
Price: 580/month + utilities (free internet!)
- this might sound expensive, but there are many apartments in Gainesville that run about the same price and are located miles from campus. I used to live in one.
