A great house in an unbeatable location super close to campus, midtown, and publix. Bus stop is a two minute walk to the eastbound (toward downtown) 34, 5, 43, and campus routes and the westbound (toward Santa Fe) stops for the 5 and 43 are literally right outside our door on University. Shared utilities, usually about $15 a person these days and we rotate paying the cable bill--$81 for high speed internet and cable tv with HBO--(it'll be my turn to pay the Dec bill, so you'll only have to worry about it 2 times (March and June) between now and the end of July).

Our unit is very close to one of the entrances (there are 3), trash compactor (you don't have to worry about lugging nasty garbage bags far or driving them in your car), the water spicket/hose to wash your car, and right next to the leasing office/pool/gym.

Both bedrooms are very spacious with extra long closets (3 sliding doors in length). The master bedroom is slightly bigger with a private bathroom (with window) and glass door exit to the back yard/porch area. The guest bedroom has a window and the guest bathroom is in the hallway.

The unfurnished apartment is currently under a joint lease but can be altered to individual leases for $25/month/person extra. They also provide furniture packages for $25/month/bedroom and $46/month for the common area (you don't need to get all 3 - you can mix and match anything you like). Hidden Lake is pet friendly allowing multiple pets/apartment for $35/month/pet.

This is an ideal house for anyone who has classes in the Northeast section of campus, which is the vast majority of the school. It was perfect for me as a business student. You can see the front of it in the first picture below.

The rent is actually $500/mo plus utilities, but I WILL PAY your first month's rent and $25/mo afterward.

The house itself consists of 4 other guys who are all friendly, quiet seniors and graduate students. The full kitchen was just redone this summer and we recently had the all wood floor refinished. The bathroom you share with one other person is immediately outside the bedroom door.

The bedroom itself is a spacious, wood floored room in the front corner of the house, separated from the main areas by a hallway. It has two large closets, a fireplace, and a PRIVATE DOOR to the outside, with its own separate lock. The private entrance can be seen in two of the photos below. Needless to say, this is a perfect room to sublet.

As for parking, we have space for at least 5 cars on the side of our house that are reserved for our house only, so you will ALWAYS have a place to park.

The rent will be $458 a month from December to July 2010, but I already paid for Nov, and the last month (August 2010).

I currently live in Looking Glass Apartments, located directly across the street from the University of Florida's campus, and I am going to be moving out of Gainesville by the end of the semester.
