Beautiful Authentic Victorian Dresser with Marble Top, 3 large drawers w/ Hand Carved crest design in center, Pin and cove joints. Has been in pet free, smoke free home for decades.

A beautiful American Victorian era dresser, circa 1880s. Made from walnut with three dovetailed drawers, stepped stiles and a marble top. The drawers are dovetailed. Features ornate metal pulls and ornate floral details carved in the wood.

The Knapp joint was developed during the late Victoria Era in post Civil War United States. Patented by Charles Knapp of Waterloo, WI in 1867, the Knapp Joint was a huge breakthrough for the furniture industry; machines called routers made circular cuts in wood far quicker than by hand. The Knapp Joint is particularly unique to furniture as it was only used from 1870 until 1900. It is also referred to as the Pin and Cove Drawer.
