I recently purchased this Turbo Vado from a local bike shop, who used to be a Specialized representative. This e-bike has been used as a display bike for few weeks/months and then one of their key customers experienced a battery failure with a similar Turbo Vado. Because Specialized was in backorder and in order to provide prompt service to the customer, then they provided the battery from the display bike to the customer. Unfortunately, with Covid, the backorder went way longer than expected and then the display bike was placed in a backroom waiting for a battery. In the spring of 2023, the bike shop finally received a new replacement battery from Specialized and installed it on the display bike.
Over summer 2023, I bought this 2019 Turbo Vado 3.0 from the bike shop with 35 miles on it with the intent of using it to commute from home to work. Unfortunately, on my very first attempt, I had to appreciate that the intensity of the traffic was more than I wanted to experience and subsequently did a U-turn back to home.
The e-bike has always been stored inside the garage and now has a total of 38 miles. As expected with such low mileage, the condition of the bike is immaculate at the exception of a small paint damage on the cover of the battery (see picture). Even though I only enjoyed the bike for 3 miles, the power of the electric motor is impressive with the level 3. This e-bike is one of the few with a top speed of 28 mph.
The registration label is still affixed to the frame, so the next owner will be able to register it with Specialized.
It comes with all the manuals, the battery charger, as well as the keys to lock/unlock the battery.
