Loosey's Downtown Kitchen Manager
Salary: $45,000/year + performance incentives up to $10,000 additional compensation
Schedule: 40 hours, 5 days per week
• three opening shifts (8am)
• at least one closing (as late as 1am) and one swing shift (open to volume)
• special events such as music and art festivals, home football games, and other downtown events can necessitate more night/late hours
Benefits:
• overtime 41-50 hours paid $25/hour
• overtime > 50 hours paid $30/hour

We're looking for a kitchen manager who is passionate about food, cleanliness, organization and team development. Someone who leads by example, can operate autonomously on a day to day basis and wants to be an integral part of the creative process. You'll work closely with ownership and front-of-house leadership to continually improve operations, guest experience, food quality and overall operations.
Responsibilities:
BOH Staff Leadership/Management
• Weekly scheduling for line cooks, dishwashers and prep cooks
• Hire, train and develop employees
• Build a culture of accountability, professionalism and teamwork
• Address performance issues and disciplinary matters as needed
Kitchen Operations
• Maintain high standards for food quality, consistency and execution
• Ensure a clean, organized and safe kitchen environment
• Monitor equipment and coordinate routine maintenance needs
• Perform basic preventive maintenance such as filter changes and coil cleaning
• Identify issues before they become emergencies
Inventory
• Manage food, dry goods and n/a beverage stock levels and purchasing
• Monitor vendor pricing and track food costs
• Minimize food waste through efficient systems and creative use
Menu Updates
• Create and execute off-menu specials
• Work with local farms and collaborate on seasonal dishes
• Help develop new menu items and improve existing ones
Bonuses and Incentives
**in addition to the base salary, up to $10,000, tied to the following:
• quarterly cleanliness and routine health inspection assessment
• quarterly food and labor cost management
• biannual performance evaluation
