If you’re looking for a kind, willing young gelding with a great mind and a bright future, Remy is one you’ll want to meet.
Remy is a 3-year-old palomino gelding standing 14 hands tall. Don’t let his height fool you—he has plenty of athletic ability and speed when asked. He’s not a dead-head, but he also isn’t hot or difficult. You may have to ask him once or twice to trot or canter, and once he gets going, he’s a smooth, nice mover with a willing attitude.
Remy is exceptionally gentle, sweet-natured, and easy to be around. He is:
Easy to catch (especially with a feed bucket)
Easy to lead and load
Stands tied patiently
Picks up all four feet
Stands quietly for bathing
Easy to saddle and unsaddle
Stands for mounting and dismounting
On the trail, Remy is confident, sure-footed, and willing. He’ll cross whatever you ask him to and doesn’t shy away from new obstacles. He’s a smart horse that learns quickly—when introduced to something new, it only takes him a short time to figure it out. He’s never been a spooky horse and has always been easy to teach.
He’s been ridden:
On roads in traffic
On trails
Around cattle
Around fireworks
Around gunfire
Remy is extremely well-desensitized and has already seen a lot of the world for such a young horse. He handles new situations with confidence and has proven himself to be a safe, dependable partner.
Because he is only three and has a little pep in his step, I’d recommend him for an intermediate rider, a handy kid ready to step up, or an adult looking for a fun quarter pony. He has the potential to excel as a trail horse, ranch partner, or even a fun little payday pony. He has the heart, willingness, and athletic ability to go in whatever direction his next rider chooses.
I’m incredibly proud of how far this young gelding has come. He’s sound, sane, healthy, and ready for his next adventure.
