Hi, my name's John. I'm a clean, considerate working professional looking for some like-minded roommates to find a new place with. I'm drug-free, a non-smoker, and only drink on rare occasions. I don't host parties or have many guests over. I keep common areas clean because I genuinely prefer a tidy home (and pests are the worst). I also have a perfect record of paying bills on time. I'm open to people who are still looking for the right place and need a reliable roommate or someone who already has a place and is looking to fill a room. I have some flexibility in terms of move-in dates but I'm hoping to move in the next few weeks. I'm open to roommates of any background.
I've been looking in the NW and NE Gainesville area recently (ideally between 13th St and Waldo Rd). It's quiet, bike-friendly, close to both downtown and UF but separated enough that we won't be bothered by the football crowds on game days or the nightlife chaos on weekends. It's within biking distance to Walmart, Publix, Winn-Dixie, Lowe's, Planet Fitness, Ross -- just about anywhere you'd need to go on a daily basis. A place with a washer/dryer in-unit is a must. I'd prefer not to live with pets. I love animals as much as the next person, but I've found in the past that living with them just gets too messy. Ideally, I'd like to have my own bathroom as well, but that's not a deal-breaker with the right roommate.
On a more personal note: I'm a bit of a film buff. So if you like talking about films, we'll get along famously. I used to be pretty active and in shape before the pandemic. I'm working on getting back to that place, so health and fitness is something I've been trying to focus more on. I've gotten more into riding my bike around town for running errands. The P&G neighborhood is perfectly situated for that. It's good for your health, great for the environment, a win-win! I'd love to have a good relationship with my roommates -- maybe even make some new friends -- but I'm also mindful and respectful of people's space and privacy. I'd be up for a movie night or hanging out with the roommates. I'd also be fine with roommates who get along but only see each other occasionally in the hallway. Either way, I think that good communication and mutual respect are essential. Message me and let's get to know each other a little to see if we'd make good roommates :)
