I recently milled down several 100yo western red cedar beams for a client who did not want the excess. I have dozens of random width veneers from this job that would be great doing a clad wall or to wrap columns, porch roofs, and anything else you could think of.
I’m selling these for 65¢/sqft and have enough to do several rooms. Thicknesses vary between 1/4” and 1/2”. One clean side and one rustic side on each.
This product is different from my norm. I am a local small sawmill who specializes in kiln dried hardwoods. I am a one man company and I produce both dimensional lumber and slabs for furniture making and lots of other things. I do not generally sell construction lumber, i specialize in the pretty stuff such as cherry, sycamore, hickory, maple, and basically any other leaf baring species that grows locally in north-central Florida.
I sell almost all local species for one low price of $5/bf across all grades. My mission is to become north-central Florida’s go-to source for hardwood lumber by making woodworking once again an affordable artform for hobbyists, professionals, and DIY’ers alike.
Im currently by appointment only. I’m generally onsite on Tuesdays through Saturday scheduling visitors from 12-5. Simply let me know what day/time would work best for you and I’ll get you on the schedule and send the address. I’m halfway between Jonesville and Archer off Cr241s.
I am the sawmill, I personally cut all lumber from local, sustainably sourced logs. All lumber is fully seasoned before advertising, and all hardwoods are kiln dried below 10% before being advertised.
I also offer custom milling of your logs if you have them.
Find my Facebook page by searching “the Florida Woodsmith”. Like my page to get updates when new lumber becomes available, I post all lumber to my page one week before advertising to the general public to give my followers a week at first choice.
Find me online at floridawoodsmith . Com for info on all services I offer.
I will have about 600bf in hardwood lumber and slabs coming up soon so stay tuned.
Contact me to set up your visit.
Happy woodworking!
