Labradoodle

Adult male labradoodle, neutered, utd on rabies. He will need his annual exam and bloodwork for flea/heartworm treatment. He’s two years old and still has plenty of puppy in him.
Super high energy and incredibly smart. Will take a bit to warm up to men. He does great with my son and husband it’s strangers he takes issue with. He’s pretty large so best for older kids and adults. He needs plenty of space to run and lots of human interaction. Not quite a Velcro dog but close. He is reassured by his humans presence. As long as he knows you’re around , he’s good.
Recently groomed, but he hates being brushed so he needs to be clipped regularly.
I got in a bit over my head with him, and it’s unfair to him that I can’t meet his physical needs. He loves to go for walks and unfortunately uses a prong collar because he is quite strong and pulls. He opens doors that have a lever style handle, opens not closes them, opens cabinets and garbage cans (drawers included).
He knows sit, paw, “other one” for other paw, down, wait. He’s working on roll over, come, stay and gentle/easy (for taking treats).
Very playful with other large dogs but can be bossy. He does not do well with chickens (recently ate a chick). He also is a big baby when it comes to scary sounds like the neighbor’s motorcycle.
My job changed about three months ago and I’m working longer hours than usual which means more kennel time for him leading to him getting restless. My husband also had life altering abdominal surgery. It is now too dangerous/risky for my husband to be around him. I need to have him rehomed by May 5th.

Asking $300 (negotiable) rehome fee
