Thanks for taking the time to look through my post. My name's John and I'm looking for some clean and mature roommates to fill a spacious 2000 sq ft 4bd/2ba house in the NE P&G neighborhood. It's off 9th St and 16th Ave; so it's fairly close to UF if you're a graduate student but far enough that you won't be bothered by the football crowds on game days or the nightlife crowd downtown on weekends. That being said, it's a nice central location that's close to Walmart, Publix, Winn-Dixie, Lowe's, Planet Fitness, Ross, just about anything you'd need on a daily basis. The house is well-maintained. It has a pool in the back with a small screened-in porch. For your convenience, there's also a washer and dryer in-house. It's all wood-laminate flooring---so no dirty carpets to deal with. The rooms are unfurnished and you'd be sharing a bathroom with the 2 other roommates. I don't yet have furniture for the living room and dining room but that's something we can talk about. Unfortunately no pets are allowed. Rent would be $600 plus utilities and Internet.
A little bit about me... Let's start with the basics. I don't smoke or do drugs; and rarely drink. I'm a clean and considerate working professional. I don't throw big parties and generally don't have people over. I always clean up after myself and try to keep the house clean because I'm an adult and I hate roaches and pests. I've never been late on a bill in my entire life. I'm hoping to find some equally mature, clean and responsible roommates looking to move soon. I'm open to any gender. I've had both male and female roommates in the past. We can talk about what you would or wouldn't be comfortable with in terms of the makeup of the other roommates. I would like this to be a peaceful and relaxing home for everyone. You would not be sharing a bathroom with me if that's important for you.
On a more personal note... I'd like to consider myself a bit of a film buff. So if you like talking about films, we'll get along famously. I used to be pretty active and in shape before the pandemic. I'm working on getting back to that place; so health and fitness is something I've been trying to focus more on. I've gotten more into riding my bike to get around town in the last year. The P&G neighborhood is perfect for that. It's good for your health. It's good for the environment. It's a win-win! I'd love to have a good relationship with my roommates---maybe even make some new friends; but I'm also mindful and respectful of people's space and privacy. I'd be up for a movie night with the roommates. I'd also be fine with roommates who get along but only see each other occasionally in the hallway. Either way, I think that good communication and mutual respect is essential. Message me and let's get to know each other. Let's see if we can make this work :)
