Vintage blacksmith’s post mounted drill press. Marked PD 20, this drill press was manufactured by the Western Hardware and Specialty Company in Milwaukee Wisconsin. These were produced in the late 30’s and into the 40’s. This is probably a later model, it has a “modern” hand tighten chuck for holding the drill bits, instead of set screws as found on earlier models. Fully functional, you can crank the drill press by hand, or you can motorize it with the attached pully. The automatic quill advance works perfectly. It is in very good shape, the last owner greased all of the moving parts prior to storing it, so there is little rust. Over all height is 34”. Four (4) of the original lag screws are included. It is currently mounted on a 4”x 4” timber for ease in handling. Cash only, I don't accept cash apps. . No offers, I think it is a fair price. If the ad is posted I still have it.
